sometimes i’m not very good at working on my to-do list in an orderly, sequential fashion. now is one of those times.
sarah maren flew in last thursday to shoot steph & ryan’s amazing wedding with me up in bangor, maine this past weekend. (stay tuned for more on that…you’re, uh, not going to want to miss it. i promise. no really.) she’s such a star…her flight left sacramento around 3am (thanks for the delay, jet blue!) and she got in at about 1pm EST…we headed straight up north just in time for each of us to grab our first meal of the day at about 4pm…and then that ROCKSTAR joined me in shooting an engagement session in one of my new favourite shooting spots.
shooting with 2 people is great…you get two photographers seeing the same scene in totally different ways. you’ll see what i mean. it’s not all positive, though. at least not for me. i’ll get the ugly out of the way first.
(yes, i am INCREDIBLY ATTRACTIVE when it is 4000% humidity, and i am laying on delightfully granite strewn maine coastlines. thanks, sarah!)
alright, now that that’s out of the way…let’s get on to how hott (i use 2 t’s so that you know i’m not talking about the wonderful heat and humidity we so dearly love in new england.) raquel and ken are. because oh…they are. also, ken is kind of a rockstar, too…he broke his arm the day before and still showed up and made the camera love him.
this is probably my favourite image from the session…and that’s saying something. also…sarah let me use her 14-24 2.8 lens. and. oh. WANT.

if that one by the water wasn’t my favourite, then this one definitely is:
watching raquel and kenneth is like…watching a foreign film with subtitles. together…they make sense. he makes her laugh and relax, and it’s wonderful to see. can’t wait to see you guys again in september for your wedding! (and i’ll be bringing january along with me!)
seriously. these are ALL amazing. i particularly love the one of them under the arch, with their reflection in the puddle.
You are so radtastic. Thank you for letting me hang out in New England with you and babycat. I love these pics and can’t wait to see more from the wedding. 🙂
