albums!

i received a new sample album in the mail today, and i am in love…this particular supplier sends the album in a high quality presentation box…with a black dust-protecting slip-cover. (NB: there are album suppliers i use who do not provide these things by default, but they are still rocktastic albums.) for this album i went with black…but straight up black cowhide seemed like missing an opportunity, so i went with the subtle embossed leather to keep it classic, but it still has the little extra something-something. the pages on this album are slightly thinner than other suppliers i’ve used…at first i was very slightly taken aback, but as i flipped through the album, i decided…i love that! i love that they’ve got a slightly more magazine style feel…while completely retaining that substantial “this is a quality product” comfort. and the paper…ooh la la, the paper! i believe they used fuji lustre papers (for the geeks who want to know), and they are like satin. the finish is so incredibly gorgeous, the colors are true to screen…did i mention i’m in love?

i included images of a few of my favorite spreads, but i think it goes without saying that a picture of an album doesn’t do the experience of holding a bound, archival, show-it-to-your-grandkids, keepsake justice. seeing it all come together in a flawless presentation you can actually sit down and look at makes the pictures speak that much louder. i know not everyone chooses to get an album, and that’s ok, but they’re so exquisite, it makes me extra happy when people do!

(if you’re interested in an album but aren’t sure about pricing options or what style of book you might want, please get in touch! there are a range of options and something to suit everyone!)

It looks so nice! I love the front cover. Good job, Sissy.
