oh man!

this week is ROCKIN’ my SOCKS!

first, i got an email telling me i’d been accepted into the WPJA! (wedding photojournalist association)
i’d half forgotten i applied, so i was totally stoked (oh yes, i said it…STOKED) to get the nod. they have great articles for photographers and brides/grooms alike, so…check ’em out.

then, today…

TODAY i got a call from fabulous boston photographer margaret singer…we’ve tried to collaborate in the past, but scheduling conflicts prevented it, so i was ECSTATIC that i was available to shoot with her this weekend.

oh, and the part where it’s in florida, and it’s a 3 day indian wedding…that didn’t contribute to my excitement at all. nope.

so…watch this space. there’ll be an EXPLOSION of colour before you know it!

LASTLY, to round out my already INCREDIBLE week thus far…
i found out that i was accepted to be a photographer with oplove.org  i’m a navy brat, and my b-i-l’s in the air force…and there are people i care about in other branches, so…the chance to help preserve memories for people who are forced to spend long periods of time away from their families…is something i’m really excited about!

ok, i said that was lastly, but…it’s not.  i booked my ticket to FLA through houston, and i’m going to get to see some people while i’m there.  hooray for layovers that are long enough to DO something with, instead of that annoying 2 hour period…too short to ask anyone to meet you, and far too long to be ok with just sitting there.  urgh.

ok, better pack.  i’ve got loads to do!
