pretty much the entire day was spent in the car, with a few enjoyable resting interludes…which is not to say driving wasn’t fun. i think driving on the autobahn was on my mental do-before-i-die list. (i think i’ve started about 16 written lists, but i never manage to get past about 10 things....

day 3 involved quite a lot of time in the car. (i rented a car for 4 days while i was there…didn’t drive it all for day 2, but when i returned it, i’d put 1800km on it. also, when they say gas in europe is $6/gallon…it is not an exaggeration.)

day 2 i just hung out in villars, the village on top of the alp where i stayed.

shortly after taking the image on the left…i fell right on my butt…and missed landing in the stream by a matter of inches. i still had a nice snowy mud mixture on my bum for the rest...
